Coaching and Spiritual Direction

Coaching, with deep listening and provocative questions, provides space for the person being coached to reflect on hopes, barriers, and inner wisdom. Spiritual direction provides space to center and listen to the voice of the Holy One who nourishes, loves, and calls us toward wholeness.

Church Consulting

Alice provides coach-informed consulting in which she engages in deep listening, asks questions and blends the response with her extensive experience. Depending upon the needs of the church, she customizes curriculum which integrates spiritual grounding, systems theory, and capacity building. She works with churches to come up with creative, innovative solutions to the challenges they face in today’s world. Working with multiple denominations, Alice blends contemplative practices, education, and engagement.

Community Organizing

Alice has a rich history in community organizing. She is the co-founder of the All Faith Alliance for Refugees (AFAR). She coordinates Advocacy Days for the Michigan Conference of the United Methodist Church, involving more than 350 people from across the state coming together to influence public policy.
