Alice strives to empower others by listening deeply and encouraging small steps forward.

Ministry has been a lifelong vocation for Rev. Alice Fleming Townley.
Alice is an ordained minister, coach, and consultant who has spent more than 30 years in faith leadership. Growing up in home with two United Methodist pastors as parents, Alice found her calling for ministry from a young age and became actively involved in her local and national church during her teenage years.
Alice has served multiple churches across Michigan, helping congregations grow spiritually and become more engaged in their communities. She is passionate about justice, community organizing, and building bridges between different groups. In addition to pastoral roles, Alice has held positions with the United Methodist Conference coordinating advocacy efforts and clergy resources.
Alice now works through her coaching and consulting business, Fleming Townley Collaborative, LLC. Bishop David Alan Bard of the Michigan Conference of the United Methodist Church affirms her work by appointing Alice to this extension ministry. She offers one-on-one coaching, spiritual direction, coach-informed consulting and workshops. Alice integrates art, prayer, and spiritual practices into her work to nourish individuals and help them find their inner strength.
With decades of experience in faith leadership and a personal commitment to caring for family members, Alice brings wisdom, empathy, and a calm presence to her clients. She strives to empower others by listening deeply and encouraging small steps forward. Alice continues to learn and grow in her new path as a consultant while maintaining her values of collaboration, integrity, and honoring each person.
